Laser Tattoo Removal
Laser tattoo removal is a gradual process that breaks down tattoo pigment so it can be naturally cleared by the body over time. Treatment is tailored to factors such as ink type, skin type, tattoo age, and location.
Who This Treatment May Help
Laser tattoo removal may be suitable for:
Unwanted tattoos
Tattoo fading prior to cover-up
Cosmetic tattoo adjustment
Partial tattoo removal
Suitability is assessed during consultation.
Assessment & Safety
All treatments begin with a clinical assessment to determine whether laser treatment is appropriate.
Factors considered include:
Skin type
Ink colours present
Tattoo age and depth
Medical history and medications
Where laser is not appropriate, guidance on alternative options or referral may be recommended.
Treatment Process
Laser tattoo removal typically involves a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart.
