What they are
Benign skin growths caused primarily by the human papillomavirus (HPV).
Typical locations
Warts commonly appear on hands and fingers; verruca's are typically found on the soles of the feet.
Look & spread
Often thickened and rough, ranging from painless to mildly uncomfortable, and can be persistent and contagious via direct contact or shared surfaces
